stories of trips around china
the reduplication of adjectives
Categories: cinesita'

there is a simple and nice rule in chinese grammar that use the reduplication of the adjectives to suggest the idea of doing something, that the quality is express in special way, and to suggest any emphasis.

the zealous practice during the lessons has been funny and so sweet to listen.

in the middle of a short stories book from Taiwan we 突然 found out a very nice story that perfectly show the use of such a grammar.

you can find the poetic chinese, italian and hungarian versions below.

我不是完美小孩
I’m not a perfect child

世界虽然没有大大的完美,
却仍有小小细细碎碎的完美。
累积所有细细碎碎的小完美,
最后就会慢慢慢慢
接近大大的完美。

al mondo non esiste niente di perfetto
ma ci sono tanti piccoli pezzetti di perfezione.
se si accumulano tutti questi piccoli pezzetti di perfezione
alla fine semplicemente molto lentamente
li si mette vicini a formare una perfezione grande grande.

Ezen a világon semmi sem tökéletes,
de a tökéletesség szétszórt, icipici darabkáira mégis rábukkanhatsz.
Ha összegyűjtöd ezeket a szétszórt, icipici kis darabokat,
egyszer végül majd lassan-lassan
összeáll a nagy-nagy tökéletesség.

dedicated to David, Cristina, Enrico, Agata, Martina and 咏慧 laoshi and to all the poetic people across East and West.
